The Macon County Health Department works to promote health and prevent disease. In the event of a flu epidemic, widespread bioterrorism or other public health emergency, the health department will need to enlist volunteers to help support the operations of clinics to administer preventive medicines to the public affected by the biological agent.

Volunteers with a current medical license will be needed to screen and inform patients and to help administer medications or vaccines.

Volunteers will also be needed as guides, drivers, runners, interpreters and operations personnel.

To help your neighbors and your community, register now to become an emergency volunteer. The health department will provide an orientation and training on how you can help.
