The Macon County Health Department Dental Clinic
administers dental care to both children and adults who are Macon county
residents and are currently on the medical card for the state of Illinois. We
see a few cash patients who meet the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) income
guidelines for a household. We are also partners with various civic
organizations that will sometimes pay for emergency dental procedures in special
circumstances. CHIC (Community Health Improvement Center) is our primary
partnership which we have developed a seamless referral system to enable us to
provide faster and better service to our patients.
We require that you present your current monthly
medical card upon arrival for your appointment. This is so we may make a copy
for your records. If you do not have the current
monthly card, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. We work primarily by scheduled
appointments. It may be
preferable to schedule an appointment to avoid lengthy waits. A custodial parent
or legal guardian must accompany patients under the age of 18, and be present in
the health department while services are being rendered.
