Safe Kids Macon County Coalition is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide.  The purpose of the Safe Kids Coalition is to prevent unintentional injuries to children ages 0-14, as they are the #1 cause of death for children of that age range.

Safe Kids Macon County Coalition was formerly known as Macon County SAFE KIDS, and has been around for 16 years.  The Macon County Health Department is the lead-agency for Safe Kids Macon County.

The coalition offers several safety events throughout Macon County throughout the county.  Our main focus areas of unintentional injury are:  bicycle safety, child passenger safety, fire safety and pedestrian safety.  We also address other unintentional injury risk areas as needed.
